Roku Remote not Working – Fix it Now

If your Roku remote has stopped working. We’re going to show you today how to get it working again. This usually works like 99% of the time, before we show you the technique for fixing the remote, we just want to say if you have a Roku Express, you might want to try something else first before you try this technique, the Roku Express has a remote, that’s a little different remotes used on the other Roku. And what it does is it sends signals through the infrared to the front of the remote Roku. And if you look at the front of it, who, like you see here, there’s like a I clear window here, and you want to make sure that’s not being blocked any way so that it can’t get the signal so you may want to just re-position your Roku and try it again that only goes for the Express. You can still try the technique that we’re coming up with here but if that if that locate that that front is blocked. No matter what you do, you may still need to move that in order to use your remote. Okay, now let’s show you how to fix it. You basically want to remove the batteries from the remote. You then want to unplug the power cord from the Roku device, wait about five maybe 10 seconds at the most, and then plug it back in. Wait for the Roku to restart you’ll see the bouncing Roku letters and wait till it gets to the main screen when it gets to the main screen, put the batteries back in the remote.

Wait, maybe about 10 seconds, and then you should be able to use the remote just like you used to before. In the unlikely event that this did not fix your remote, you can try replacing both batteries in the remote with fresh ones, or order a new replacement remote.
